Maclaine's Award Assembly!

The last week of school, Noah Webster had an award assembly for those kids who've been on the honor roll all year and for special Character Counts awards. We got an e-mail from Maclaine's teacher saying that she was going to receive both awards so we would probably want to make sure we were in attendance. Well, of course! To say that we are proud of our little girl is an understatement! Honestly, I don't feel like I deserve this sweet little girl that God has put into our lives. She's been such a joy! For her to make the honor roll all year is a wonderful accomplishment but what makes me most proud is that she won the Character Counts award for respect.

Here's a few pictures of the award assembly...

Hangin' her head out the window at Sonic for a special treat....

I don't know why the video is so blurry but I was having a heck of a time getting it on here so you get the idea.

Here she is with one of her instructors Mr. Russell....

Unfortunately, I couldn't get my camera working quick enough so I only recorded one of the technique's that they were being tested on...

And the Oscar goes to....

Maclaine and her BFF Delani produced their own play this week...I was thoroughly entertained!

Slumber Party!

Last weekend after my nephew Tanner's birthday party we brought my nieces Aubrey and Ellie back to our house for a slumber party. Actually, it started out with just Aubrey (her sister Mallory had another function to go to) and then we started thinking about sweet Ellie and how she's a big girl now and probably would really enjoy coming over for the sleepover. So, my sister Jamie brought her right over. I think the girls had a great time, they stayed busy and I enjoyed listening to their giggles. It made me so appreciative that my only child has her cousins close by who can act as sister's to her. It was so cute watching Ellie hang out with the "big girls." I know Ellie isn't a baby but we've always looked at her as that because she's the youngest girl cousin but she's definitely not a baby anymore.

Here's some pictures of the fun!

I crimped their hair...

They made Club Penguin t-shirts, we've got a couple new members now :).....

Mother's Day!

I had a great Mother's Day! We got up and went to Starbucks before heading to church and after church we went to lunch at Texas Roadhouse, which I didn't really want to do because I didn't want to have to wait around but they got us right in and we had a yummy meal. Then, all I wanted to do for the rest of the day was put my comfies on and lay on the couch and watch chic-flicks. So, that's exactly what I did. By the end of the day I was pretty much done celebrating "myself" and decided it was probably time to hand over the remote. I had eaten SO much junk all weekend that I couldn't wait for Monday to get here so I could get back to going to the gym.

Thanks Ty and Clainey for always making me feel so special! I got a super soft robe and some pajamas, a "mom" necklace that Clainey picked out, my favorite flowers and homemade cards, which I loved. I also, came home Saturday after the tea to a freshly vacuumed house and my gorgeous flowers!

Me and my favorite girly...

My beautiful flowers I came home to on Saturday.....!

Maclaine's 1st Concert!

When we got back from Casa Grande on Saturday we took a little rest so we would be ready to take Maclaine to her first concert that night! We went to see Addison Road, which is a Christian band. They were awesome! My BFF Shannah went with us so she ended up being Clainey's date for the evening :). We went to dinner first and then headed over to the concert. We had a great time! Thanks Shannah, for going with us and being Maclaine's first date. :)

Mother's Day Tea!

We went down to Casa Grande Saturday for the annual Mother's Day Tea. My Granny's sorority has been doing these teas since we were little girls. So, my sister's and I have been going with my mom and Granny for years and years. Now it's great to be able to take our little girls with us to experience the fun.

Here's Clainey and I before we headed down to CG....
