Ty and I decided we were in need of some time alone, so we called on Grandma and Grandpa to watch Clainey girl for Saturday day and night...YIPEE...Freedom!!!
Now, I'm not saying we don't enjoy spending time with Maclaine, actually we LOVE spending time with her, we enjoy it so much that we forget that we need to go on a date every now and then....ALONE!
After dropping Maclaine off Saturday morning we decided to go to IKEA to walk around and pick up a few things. Then, we headed to a taco shop in Awatukee that we saw featured on Diner's Drive-in's and Dives on the Foodnetwork channel. It was super yummy! Then we went to Lowe's to pick up some things we needed there. Then it was off to take a little nap before our night on the town.
Some friends of ours gave us a very generous gift certificate to Ruth's Chris so we decided to go check it out. Have you ever watched the movie Pretty Woman? You know, where Julia Roberts is at the fancy dinner and her food flies away from her. Yep, that was me! I had a crouton fall on the floor, lettuce fall in my lap, asparagus fly off my fork, and of course I dripped chocolate lava cake ALL over the white table cloth. Ty got quite a chuckle watching me be my clumsy self. We actually had a fabulous time. The food was great and the conversation was even better! After dinner we headed to Tempe Marketplace and walked around a bit before heading home to plop ourselves on the couch...we were SO full from dinner. We actually woke-up Sunday still full.
After church Sunday we went to pick up "the girl" and we found out that they had had a wonderful time as well. They checked out the Ostrich Festival and of course just played with Maclaine the WHOLE time. She pretty much "rules the roost" over there.
Here's a picture of Ty and I standing in front of some yucky body of water by the Tempe Marketplace...

And of course Ty has to give his classic pose....

Here's Clainey with her Grandma and Grandpa Sunday morning....

Meet "Hairy" who was won at the fair...thanks Grandma and Grandpa :)
