Faces of the year!

This little girl right here, makes me laugh! She's got such a wittiness about her. She loves to talk in a British accent and her sense of humor and timing are awesome!

Here's just a few of her faces that make me smile every day!

World Famous Jamaica Dress!

Ty and I got married in Jamaica 11+ years ago and my mom bought me this dress to wear while we were lounging at the resort. For some reason I still have this dress, not sure why because I'm known to get rid of things all the time. BUT, needless to say Maclaine has now adopted this dress. My mom sewed it so it would fit her.

Here's me wearing the dress in Jamaica...I look pretty hideous in the dress, especially compared to Maclaine....

She actually wore it to church one day and boy oh boy did she get a lot of comments on her outfit that day! I love her flair!

"We are The Morgan's"

See this little cutie right here?

Do you know what she said to me the other day?

She was perfecting her towel-snapping technique and decided she wanted to practice on my booty. Well, as you can guess I was a little concerned and voiced to her that "I was scared."

This is what she said to me,

"Don't be afraid, We are The Morgan's, for crying out loud."

Back to school!

Well, today is the first day of Second grade for Maclaine. All summer I've been praying about Maclaine's upcoming school year. Praying about whether or not to keep her at Noah Webster, praying about who her teacher will be, praying that she would meet some really sweet girls this year, just overall praying for Maclaine's experience in Second grade. When we went to the open house to find out who her teacher was, we realized she wasn't in the same class with any of her friends from last year. Really, she only has a few familiar kids in her class. That immediately got me concerned and sad for her but I had to keep reminding myself that I've prayed about this and I've given my child over to the Lord. I choose to trust God and believe that He's put her in this class for a reason.

This picture was taken at the Open House. She chose a desk near the front, "that's my girl".....

She was up at 6:00 and dressed to go to school at 6:15....

Here she is in front of her new classroom...

Here she is walking to class with her new classmates....

It looks like she's crying in this picture but she's not. She just turned around with her mouth opened when she heard her name called.

Style all her own!

Maclaine has always had a little flair to her style. When she was really young, she didn't like the actual dress-up clothes that you buy, she wanted to "create" her own dress-up clothes with things she found around the house.

When she started First grade last year I quickly got tired of the arguments in the morning about what she was going to wear so I decided to just "let it go." There were some mornings when I cringed at the thought of her going to school with the outfits she picked out. But, most of all I was extremely proud of her that she felt confident enough to pull off some of these creations. I pray that she always keeps that confident, creativeness about her.

Here's one of the outfits that I had to bite my tongue and not say anything about. Just so you know, those are red and white striped socks over red leggings. She only wore it once, but she was darn proud of this ensemble.

This one was another outfit she put together for school. I don't know if you can tell from the picture but she was very specific about how she wanted her hair done on this day, it has lots of rubber bands that are strategically placed.

This outfit she accessorized by adding a scarf...

This was just one of her dress-up outfits that she put together...

This is how she wanted her hair done for "crazy-hair" day last year....

I can't wait to see what kind of outfits she puts together for Second Grade.....stay tuned!

Our first Wii accident!

My niece Aubrey and Ty were playing the Wii the other day and Maclaine walked right into the remote. I'm ashamed to say that I let out a little giggle because it was just plain funny! Maclaine actually laughed too, she's a tough cookie, but she did have a broken lip to show for it.

Here's her battle wound...

Here's the re-enactment...

Here's the girls taking a break from the Wii....

Karisma and Clainey!

We've been trying to get in all the slumber parties and fun activities that I promised Maclaine she could do this summer. It's been a crazy couple of weeks because her momma (me) forgot how quickly the summer break flies by. Karisma spending the night was on the summer agenda.

Karisma's mom and dad are in our small group (social group, made of friends from church who love and encourage one another). Her and Maclaine always have a great time playing together. She's a few years older than Maclaine but that doesn't seem to get in the way of them having fun together.

She came over Friday night and we walked around the mall and got the girls some special necklaces from Claire's and ate Chick-fil-a. Then on Saturday we decided to go see G Force.

As you might notice from the picture above, the girls tried to wear matching outfits. I got such a chuckle out of it because Maclaine came in asking where her orange shirt was that we had just put in the Goodwill pile. She then said, that her and Karisma were going to look just alike that nobody would be able to tell them apart. So darn cute! Do you remember those days wanting to dress just like your best friend? I totally remember those days. Now, I don't want to be caught dead in the same outfit as one of my friends on the same day. "So not cool, now :)" For awhile my older sister and her family came to the same church as us and every Sunday somehow we ended up looking like twins. We never planned it but we always had the same colors on and it wasn't always black either. Sometimes it would be things that you would never think that we would pick out on the same day. Sure enough, we were matchy-matchy! I just had to share that little piece of information. Sister's just think alike, and there's nothin' wrong with that!

Here's the girls at the movies getting ready to watch G-Force in 3-D

The girls had some dress-up time too....

A game of Twister is always a must when you have your friends over, it usually doesn't last very long though....

Smooches!

What do you think of our new lips?

Stayin' cool in Arizona!

When it's 115 degrees outside, what in the world do you do to stay cool?

Ice Skating of course!

One of my best friends, Dana, and her boys decided to be spontaneous with us and met us at Polar Ice. The kids all did great, we even took the twins out on the ice. I think everyone had a good time. I know Maclaine did! She didn't want to leave.

Maclaine was very serious about her ice skating! I think she would have been just fine if she was the only one there, she was focused I tell you!

I'm looking forward to going back too, it was super fun!

I wish I had gotten more pictures, Dana's other boys Brandon and Benjamin were there also. For some reason, I never got a picture of the kiddos together.

These are my two favorite twins! You can't tell by this picture, but they actually do like me :)

Maclaine loved ice skating, she could have stayed all day going round and round the rink.
