The summer Maclaine fell in love...

with VOLLEYBALL!

After retiring from karate in 2012 we told Maclaine that she needed to find something else that would keep her active.  She decided that she wanted to give volleyball a try.  The high school by our house offered a Volleyball Camp over the summer and she got to do it with her Bestie Delani.  

She loved it!

Almost a year later now, and we've loved seeing her improve and so enjoy watching her play and be part of a team!

Laguna Beach 2012

We love Laguna Beach!  

My dad and Lin introduced us to Laguna many years ago and we loved the laid back atmosphere.  Us Morgan's, like to chill and relax and this is the place to do just that.  We've always stayed in the same hotel and although it's changed through the years, mostly price-wise, it's still the best place to stay for location and convenient purposes.  

This year the weather was a little cloudy and even rained one afternoon but we didn't even care.  We still got plenty of beach time.

Over the summer, Maclaine was bored and I was tired of all the TV watching so we headed to Hobby Lobby, bought an Easel and canvas and Maclaine would soon start painting her first masterpiece.  

The picture on the top right is a photo I had taken at World Market because I loved the painting so much and thought that Maclaine or I could attempt to paint it.  So, one day Maclaine looked at the picture got out her supplies and painted her version.  

I love it!!!

When I posted the picture on Facebook, she had a few people interested in buying her painting so I ordered up some canvas and she made a few more.

Father's Day 2012

We celebrated Father's Day in Tucson this year.  We had dinner at my dad's house and then we headed over to a local resort.  We had planned on night swimming and having cocktails around the pool but out of nowhere it started getting really windy and rainy so we didn't last too long out there the first night. We were able to have some pool time the next day and just hang out and enjoy each other.

They've always wanted to measure themselves to see who's taller and usually it's Maclaine, as you can see in this picture but I saw him the other day and he's looking taller so we'll have to measure them again soon to see.

These two beauties have always had a very special bond.  They are both artsy fartsy :)
