We found snow!!!

The morning after the train ride we ate breakfast at the train depot and then headed out to find some more snow. The goal was to go tubing at some skiing place there in Williams but after the van started losing traction and Grandpa John taking a spill on the ice we thought it would be best just to find a spot to pull over and have our own fun. The snow was really dry so snowmen were not easy to make. Grandpa and Maclaine made their own version of one though. They also made a little igloo that I think Maclaine probably would have loved to live in. She had a ball playing in the snow, we had to finally corral her back in the car once we realized she was soaking wet.

Here's Maclaine at breakfast...

Here's our snow adventures...my camera didn't take great photos for some reason.

All aboard!!!

We just got back from riding the Polar Express which took us to the North Pole (Williams, AZ). We had such a great time! The weather was cold and snowy, which made it just perfect! Maclaine got to make some great memories with her Grandma and Grandpa.

Here are LOTS of pictures to show you how part of our trip went...

The first thing Maclaine wanted to do when we got to the hotel was make a snow angel...

Such a sweetie pie!

I miss this sweet little boy's momma everyday. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of my dear friend Aimee.

Some days I look at a picture of her and I just can't take it. I see such a beautiful girl that left this life in such a tragic way and it makes me so mad.

Some days it's scrolling through the channels and seeing that the movie Beaches is on and it reminds me of the day that Aimee and I went to see it in the theatres, we decided Wind Beneath my Wings would be our anthem song. (A little corny, I know)

When Patrick Swayze died I thought about how Aimee and I had gone to see the movie Ghost and how that movie was so hard for us because we had just lost our dear friend Mandy in a horrific car accident.

When I put my M necklace on I'm reminded how thoughtful she always was. She sent it to me in the mail...just because.

When I walk in the Hallmark store, I think of Aimee because that girl kept that place in business.

When I'm at the mall, I tell Ty, "Aimee loved that store." And then he replies, "Aimee loved every store." "Um, yep, you're right."

When I'm walking down the cookie isle and I see Milano cookies, I think of us chowing down on them at our sleep-over we had when she was pregnant with Anthony.

When I think of making a Christmas card it makes me sad that I won't get that encouraging call from her as soon as she checks her mail telling me how much she loves it and how it's her favorite. Whether or not she told that to all of her friends I'll never know but she definitely knew how to make me feel good.

These are just a few of the thoughts that go through my head on a daily basis. I hope these memories are always held near to my heart, I don't ever want to forget them!

When I get to spend time with this sweet boy, all I see is Aimee...

He's trying on my high heels here...

With Christmas coming up I'm feeling so melancholy that she's not here. I know her family and other friends must be feeling the same way. We miss you girl!

Chop Chop!

Ty's birthday was November 28th and to celebrate his special day his parents took us to dinner at BeniHana's. We had never been so it was a new experience for us. We had a great time and enjoyed our meals. Thanks John and Paulette for the yummy dinner!

I loved watching Maclaine's face as he was doing all of his tricks. He kept asking her questions, she couldn't understand him so she just gave him her best smile and giggled a lot.

Electric Light Parade

We decided at the last minute on Saturday to go down to Casa Grande for their Electric Light Parade. I've been wanting to check it out the past couple years they've been doing it because I had heard so many great things about it. We followed my sister and her family because they've gone before and knew exactly where to park. My brother-in-laws parents were also there and they provided us with some yummy green chile burritos. That was reason enough to check it out in my book :).

Here's my niece Aubrey and my girlie Clainey....

Da Boyz! Brother in law Kenny, my hubby Ty, and nephew Tanner...

Me and my sista' DeAyn...

Nieces Mallory, Aubrey, Clainey girl and Tanner...

Brother in law's parents Rose and Bobby, we thought they looked so cute all bundled up....

Clainey and Aubrey, they are always hanging on each other. I think it's so sweet and I hope they always have a really close relationship.
