Such a sweetie pie!

I miss this sweet little boy's momma everyday. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of my dear friend Aimee.

Some days I look at a picture of her and I just can't take it. I see such a beautiful girl that left this life in such a tragic way and it makes me so mad.

Some days it's scrolling through the channels and seeing that the movie Beaches is on and it reminds me of the day that Aimee and I went to see it in the theatres, we decided Wind Beneath my Wings would be our anthem song. (A little corny, I know)

When Patrick Swayze died I thought about how Aimee and I had gone to see the movie Ghost and how that movie was so hard for us because we had just lost our dear friend Mandy in a horrific car accident.

When I put my M necklace on I'm reminded how thoughtful she always was. She sent it to me in the mail...just because.

When I walk in the Hallmark store, I think of Aimee because that girl kept that place in business.

When I'm at the mall, I tell Ty, "Aimee loved that store." And then he replies, "Aimee loved every store." "Um, yep, you're right."

When I'm walking down the cookie isle and I see Milano cookies, I think of us chowing down on them at our sleep-over we had when she was pregnant with Anthony.

When I think of making a Christmas card it makes me sad that I won't get that encouraging call from her as soon as she checks her mail telling me how much she loves it and how it's her favorite. Whether or not she told that to all of her friends I'll never know but she definitely knew how to make me feel good.

These are just a few of the thoughts that go through my head on a daily basis. I hope these memories are always held near to my heart, I don't ever want to forget them!

When I get to spend time with this sweet boy, all I see is Aimee...

He's trying on my high heels here...

With Christmas coming up I'm feeling so melancholy that she's not here. I know her family and other friends must be feeling the same way. We miss you girl!

Chop Chop!

Ty's birthday was November 28th and to celebrate his special day his parents took us to dinner at BeniHana's. We had never been so it was a new experience for us. We had a great time and enjoyed our meals. Thanks John and Paulette for the yummy dinner!

I loved watching Maclaine's face as he was doing all of his tricks. He kept asking her questions, she couldn't understand him so she just gave him her best smile and giggled a lot.

Electric Light Parade

We decided at the last minute on Saturday to go down to Casa Grande for their Electric Light Parade. I've been wanting to check it out the past couple years they've been doing it because I had heard so many great things about it. We followed my sister and her family because they've gone before and knew exactly where to park. My brother-in-laws parents were also there and they provided us with some yummy green chile burritos. That was reason enough to check it out in my book :).

Here's my niece Aubrey and my girlie Clainey....

Aubrey's award night!

A couple weeks ago we went to Gilbert City Hall to watch Aubrey, my niece, receive a Citizenship award. One of her teachers nominated her and told Kenny, who is my brother in law and I what a joy she was to have in class. I think she thought I was my sister so I just nodded and listened. I would have to agree with her teacher...Aubrey's always been very full of life and ready to take on the world. She LOVES school! We're so proud of you Aubrey!

Maclaine's fall concert

We had the privilege of hearing Maclaine and all the other 2ND graders sing some really fun fall songs. The concert was a couple days before Thanksgiving break so they got us all ready to give thanks and enjoy our turkey dinners.

Here's Maclaine in a dress, she actually wanted to wear one....

Beautiful girl...

"Me and my shadow"

I guess when you don't have siblings in the house you make do with your dogs. I always had my sister's to play with, sometimes we played nice, sometimes not so much. I love my sister's dearly though and would be so sad if they weren't in my life.

Sometimes I have peace with the fact that God gave us only one child. Sometimes I feel incredibly sad for Maclaine that she won't have a sister or brother around. She tells me that she doesn't want me to have a baby because brothers and sisters fight and she would have to share her stuff with them. I'm more worried that when she becomes an adult she will feel gypped. BUT, for the time being she seems perfectly content playing with her dogs.

Here are some pictures of her taking Barnaby for a ride around the house.

Do I have to?

I'll just take a little rest...

Notice that our dog has an English accent at the end of the video...

Excuse the messy house...

Here he is in his Ninja costume I got at the after Halloween clearance at Target. I just had to add this photo. Aww, he's so cute!

Happy "VET"eran's Day!

Maclaine told me that she was going to wear her Noah Webster T-shirt today since it has an animal on it and since it's Veteran's Day. Huh?

It took me a minute to figure that one out. After I chuckled a bit I realized I had some "splaining" to do. Here's how the conversation went: "Honey, we actually aren't honoring Veterinarian's on Veteran's day we're honoring the men and women who fought and are fighting for our freedom."

Then, she smiled and said, "I'm going to wear it anyway."

Don't you just love what comes out of our kids mouths! Life would be SO boring around here without our Clainey girl!
