"Curly-Sue"

These pictures were taken the morning of school pictures. Maclaine wanted her hair curly and it definitely started out that way but when I picked her up from school the curls were gone. Unfortunately, they took their pictures close to the end of the day. Why would they do that? I'm sure she looked gorgeous regardless!

"Goose"

Meet our new little girl "goose".

We had a little scare on Saturday. Maclaine and I went shopping for some flowers to plant and as we were putting them in the back of the van we had a little "issue" with the seat. As Maclaine was trying to adjust the seat, it flew back and hit her on the head...HARD! It flew back SO fast and SO hard I didn't have any time to stop it. I was trying not to freak out but on the inside I was shaking and having an anxiety attack. Her head automatically turned purple and she had a HUGE goose-egg. I rushed home not knowing if I should take her to Urgent Care or not but Ty reassured me that she was fine. Apparently, he had many a goose-egg in his time.

These pictures were taken about 20 minutes after the fact and it had started going down by that time.

She was trying to hide from the camera....

Gotcha!

After we knew she was going to be alright we decided her new nickname was going to be "Goose." It hasn't grown on her yet so it may not stick :)

Just Clownin' Around!

My mom made my sister and I matching clown costumes in 1978 and Maclaine found this one at my mom's and decided to add it to her dress-up collection.

When you have a clown costume on you just have to "act" like a clown! There's just no way around it!

I love these pictures!

My mom dug through her pictures and found these. This one is me, I actually cropped my sister out of this one (sorry DeeDee)....

This one is me, my "Mimi" which is my great-grandmother, and my sister DeAyn. I'm 4 in this picture and my sister is 7...

Have some fun today, clown around with someone you love!

Faces of the year!

This little girl right here, makes me laugh! She's got such a wittiness about her. She loves to talk in a British accent and her sense of humor and timing are awesome!

Here's just a few of her faces that make me smile every day!

World Famous Jamaica Dress!

Ty and I got married in Jamaica 11+ years ago and my mom bought me this dress to wear while we were lounging at the resort. For some reason I still have this dress, not sure why because I'm known to get rid of things all the time. BUT, needless to say Maclaine has now adopted this dress. My mom sewed it so it would fit her.

Here's me wearing the dress in Jamaica...I look pretty hideous in the dress, especially compared to Maclaine....

She actually wore it to church one day and boy oh boy did she get a lot of comments on her outfit that day! I love her flair!

"We are The Morgan's"

See this little cutie right here?

Do you know what she said to me the other day?

She was perfecting her towel-snapping technique and decided she wanted to practice on my booty. Well, as you can guess I was a little concerned and voiced to her that "I was scared."

This is what she said to me,

"Don't be afraid, We are The Morgan's, for crying out loud."

Back to school!

Well, today is the first day of Second grade for Maclaine. All summer I've been praying about Maclaine's upcoming school year. Praying about whether or not to keep her at Noah Webster, praying about who her teacher will be, praying that she would meet some really sweet girls this year, just overall praying for Maclaine's experience in Second grade. When we went to the open house to find out who her teacher was, we realized she wasn't in the same class with any of her friends from last year. Really, she only has a few familiar kids in her class. That immediately got me concerned and sad for her but I had to keep reminding myself that I've prayed about this and I've given my child over to the Lord. I choose to trust God and believe that He's put her in this class for a reason.

This picture was taken at the Open House. She chose a desk near the front, "that's my girl".....

She was up at 6:00 and dressed to go to school at 6:15....

Here she is in front of her new classroom...

Here she is walking to class with her new classmates....

It looks like she's crying in this picture but she's not. She just turned around with her mouth opened when she heard her name called.
