My Granny's 80th birthday was January 31st and to celebrate her big day we decided to have a picnic for her because she loves them! We've been going to the same picnic area in Casa Grande since I was a young girl. The kids always have a great time climbing the mountain, the parents (really only me) have heart attacks as we watch the kids stand on the top of the mountain doing poses, and the other adults just sit back and relax and chat. It makes for a perfect day as long as the weather holds up.
I'm sad to say that I didn't really get too many pictures of the birthday girl! She was busy making her rounds chatting with everyone and she's not someone who loves to pose for pictures every 5 seconds.
Here's what my mom put in the Casa Grande Dispatch on her birthday! My granny said she felt like a celebrity that day because everywhere she went people were saying "Happy Birthday" to her! She had a couple different parties planned for her on her special day and they were a surprise to her. I think she ended up having a great day!
The famous mountain we've been climbing for many, many years....
It started out to be extra cold that day! So cold that Mallory ended up with two bloody noses, poor thing...
Grammie Lin with some of the grand kids...
My mom thought it would be really funny to take a picture of her and my dad since they were wearing the same colors, this picture makes me laugh a little...
Me and my dad...
We cannot take a picture of the two of us without Ty sticking out his tongue, he really has a beautiful smile, I promise...
Cousins....
They played RummiKub when they got tired of climbing...
Mallory and Maclaine (you can hardly see her),
